Identification & Advice

Initial Consultation

If you have Japanese Knotweed on your property one of our professional and qualified surveyors can visit your property for a fee to assess the extent of the problem by completing a full site survey. A detailed survey report will include an overview of the property, distribution of the Japanese Knotweed, the available treatment methods and give a detailed breakdown of the treatment costs. The cost of the site survey is £250.

Cost Effective Treatment

Savage Gardens specialises in residential in-situ herbicide treatment and aim to bring a realistic, efficient and cost effective solution to your invasive species problem. 5 year contracts start from £1500, this includes 3 years of herbicide treatment and 2 years of monitoring for regrowth, this cost can be split into yearly payments to manage the fees more easily. If you are selling your property we can provide 10 year contracts and 10 year Insurance Backed Guarantees for our work. Essential if mortgage companies are involved.

Management Plan

The Management Plan is a concise document for your Japanese Knotweed infestation and it provides vital reassurance to both lenders and buyers that a Japanese Knotweed problem is being properly managed. Its is usually a prerequisite of all mortgage lenders that this document is present if you wish to buy or sell a property containing Japanese Knotweed. All ours plans include the following as standard:

Site Survey details and report.
A scaled plan with dimensions and supporting photographs or the property or site.
A full description of the methods to be used to control and manage the Japanese Knotweed.
A treatment schedule that is updated and documented as treatments are carried out.
Monitoring visits for any regrowth.
A completion certificate once no regrowth is observed for 2 years.
Guarantee of works for the remainder or the management plan contract, ending 10 years from the initial treatment date.

This document can be easily transferred between homeowners at no extra cost as is produced in-line with the Property Care Association (PCA) and the Environment Agency. We currently provide 5 or 10 year management plans.
